Support for NutriScan — food logging, CGM tracking, and glucose-aware nutrition for people living with Type 1 diabetes.
In Profile → Diabetes, set your CGM / Glucose Source to Apple Health. Once your Dexcom or Libre app is syncing to Apple Health, your glucose readings flow into NutriScan automatically.
Open Profile → Diabetes and enter your Low and High targets in mg/dL or mmol/L. Many adults use roughly 70–180 mg/dL, but always use the range your care team has set for you.
Your Food Playbook builds from your own history — log a meal, then a glucose reading before and 1–2 hours after (or let your connected CGM fill it in automatically). Over time it shows how specific foods tend to affect your glucose. It's your history, not a prediction, and never an insulin dose.
Open Dashboard → Sites & Sensors to log a new sensor or injection site. NutriScan suggests your next site so you can rotate consistently, and tracks how long your current sensor has been in place.
Insulin logging is available with NutriScan Pro, alongside carb counting, glucose & time-in-range charts, and post-meal pattern tracking. NutriScan never suggests a dose — it only helps you keep a record.
If enabled in Profile → Reminders, NutriScan nudges you about 2 hours after a logged meal to check your glucose, so your Food Playbook keeps building. You can turn this off any time in Reminders.
Open the Scan tab and choose Camera. Tap Take Photo (or File Upload for an existing photo), then tap Run Deep AI Scanning for a full nutrition and carb breakdown.
Yes. On the Scan tab, use Presets for common meals, or Text Input to describe what you ate — the AI estimates carbs and nutrition either way.
Your logged meals and daily totals — including carbs — appear on the Dashboard tab, measured against the goals in your profile.
Open the Care tab, then tap Use my location or enter your ZIP code to see nearby food banks, free meals, SNAP/EBT stores, WIC offices, and farmers markets.
Yes — NutriScan is free to download and use. An optional Pro subscription adds features like insulin logging and glucose trend charts; you're never charged unless you choose to upgrade.
On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password?, enter your email, and we'll send a 6-digit reset code. Check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive.
Open the Profile tab and use the account-deletion option. This permanently removes your account, glucose history, and logged data.
Try fully closing and reopening the app, and make sure your iOS is up to date. If the problem continues, email us below and we'll help you sort it out.
We're happy to help with any question or issue.
